About the Artist
Cheryl was taught the fundamentals of drawing from her artist
mother at the age of seven.  At ten, her first art work sold was a
crayon rendition of a galloping arabian horse drawn on meat
wrapping paper donated by the local butcher shop.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, she moved to Minnesota in 1967.  
There she raised her family and went to college.  She graduated
Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the
University of Minnesota.
She and her husband, John Jones, have been residents of
Florida since 1999.
Cheryl has artwork displayed in Arizona, California, Florida,
Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.  
She has  received numerous awards for her artwork over the
years.
Since moving to the Matlacha area of Florida, she has been
involved with the Pine Island Art Association, Art for Acts, Art
Council of Southwest Florida, Art League of Fort Myers, Cape
Coral Art League, and the Charlotte County Art Guild.  Three
telephone poles have been painted by her on Pine Island, as well
as several large murals including the gated opening to Matlacha
Isles.
Wild Child Gallery in Matlacha, displays some of Cheryl's
watercolor and acrylic paintings.   
Pine Island Printing displays and sells her Florida inspired
etched glasswares.
